AJ Parker-Trigg

AJ is a catastrophic bleed control trainer at Owen’s World, educating members of the public on the equipment contained within a bleed kit and how to safely and appropriately use it in an emergency situation.

AJ wanted to be part of the team to continue delivering the message that knife crime is not acceptable and can have devastating consequences. Through his professional skills and knowledge, he is able to teach others potentially life-saving skills and ensure they have the confidence to use a bleed kit when it matters most. He also wanted to support Owen’s family and friends, knowing that everything possible is being done to help prevent other families from facing the same devastation.

The mission is vitally important to AJ because of the devastating impact knife crime can have. He believes that education which stays with people across different age groups can help change attitudes, encourage safer choices, and ensure the message reaches as many people as possible. For AJ, being able to share this knowledge in Owen’s name makes the work even more meaningful.

Outside of Owen’s World, AJ is a Combat Medical Technician in the British Army, providing life-saving trauma care in high-pressure and stressful environments.
